Getty ImagesHello, this is a feature that will run through the entire season and aims to recap the weekend?s events and boils those events down to one admittedly superficial fact or stupid opinion about each team. Feel free to complain about it.

You?re going to hear a lot of talk throughout the Stanley Cup Finals about how shocking all of this is.

The No. 6 Devils coming out of the East to take on the ultra-dominant-and-somehow-No. 8 Kings. The first matchup since the current playoff system began in which either a 6 or 8 is guaranteed to win the Cup. The only other 6 and 8 seeds to even make it are Calgary in 2004 and Edmonton in 2006 (though more than a few 7 seeds have made it through to the finals, the most recent being Philadelphia in 2010).

What intriguing underdog stories. Except not really.

(Coming Up: Simon Gagne cleared for Kings; imagining Lamoriello with the Rangers; why Shea Weber should win Norris; John Davidson and the Flames; Dominik Hasek?s comeback; Zach Hamill traded for Chris Bourque; tampering by the Leafs?; Jamal Mayers and the Blackhawks; Stars move up for Alex Galchenyuk?; no Ryan O?Reilly talks yet; free Jets tickets controversy; Steve Yzerman?s goalie chase; Adam Henrique?s hero moment; and we?re losing a great hockey joke in Cristobal Huet.)

This perception exists because the NHL seeding system is patently ridiculous, as has been discussed in the past. Yeah, LA crumpled teams Nos. 1-3, and New Jersey knocked off Nos. 3, 5 and 1 en route to these Cup Finals, but let?s be realistic here.

The Devils were the ninth-best team in the league this season, one of 10 to break 100 points, and had the benefit of playing a genuinely bad Florida team in the first round while the East?s other 100-point teams cannibalized each other to an extent. But that?s not to say they weren?t very, very good all season. They are, in fact, the best No. 6 seed in Eastern Conference history, and one of only three to crack the century mark (the others being these same Devils in 2004 and the Rangers in 2006, both of which had 100 even).

But if there?s one underdog storyline for the Eastern Conference champions, it?s not that Ilya Kovalchuk is now living up to his galactic potential, or that Bryce Salvador has suddenly become a world-beating two-way defenseman, or that the coach who got fired in Florida is now in the Stanley Cup Finals.

It?s that everyone agreed that New Jersey had one weakness: In net.

Most figured Marty Brodeur was one-and-done, and probably only because of how bad Florida was. Understandably so, because he?s now 40 years old and hasn?t exactly looked like the vintage Marty Brodeur over the last few years. This postseason, though, he?s certainly shown the flashes of what made him one of the greatest goaltenders of all time, even if he still has a couple senior moments here and there.

More egregious, though, will be the fawning over the Cinderella Kings, who have captivated an apathetic and clearly somewhat confused ?nontraditional? market they?ve only been in for 45 years with their series of decisive knockout victories against heavily favored opponents.

Yeah, they edged into the playoffs for sure. If you count finishing five points ahead of the 10th-place team as ?edging.? They also finished just two points out of the division lead, which would have made them a No. 3. But they didn?t, so maybe it?s fair enough. But if you consider that this team took off like a shot the second they fired Terry Murray, maybe not.

Under Murray and his four-game stand-in, John Stevens, the Kings went 15-14-4, an 84ish-point pace. Under new coach Darryl Sutter, they went 25-13-11, a 102-point pace. Having 102 points would have won them the division with ease, and tied them for fourth in the West. They were even better after acquiring Jeff Carter, going 13-5-3,?a small-sample-size pace for 113 points.

The point is that it?s not as if either of these teams weren?t phenomenal once they got going this season, and that any talk of them being underdogs is wholly overblown and patently ridiculous.

These aren?t the 2006 Oilers, and they?re not the 2003 Ducks, relying on gimmicks and hot goaltenders to get where they are in short-burst successes. These are teams that have been playing top-quality hockey since at least December, each with rosters positively littered with All-Stars past and present, and anyone who?s been paying attention knows that.

The only way in which they?re underdogs is because of where they ended the season in the standings, which don?t make sense anyway.

What We Learned

Anaheim Ducks: Might Justin Schultz?s continual refusal to sign with the team that drafted him be the result of tampering on the part of ? you guessed it ? the Toronto Maple Leafs? No one?s sayin?, they?re just sayin?.

Boston Bruins: The Bruins traded the RFA rights to Zach Hamill for the UFA rights to Chris Bourque, who is of course Ray?s son. The good news is there won?t be much of a shadow for Bourque to live up to, since his chances of playing in the NHL next year are minimal at best. He?s merely a very good NHL player who doesn?t have the size or complete package to make it in the show, despite being a second-round pick that one time (though that was because of who his dad is). Hamill, meanwhile, was a No. 8 overall pick who never panned out.

Buffalo Sabres: Former Sabre Dominik Hasek is thinking about returning to the NHL at the tender age of 47. If Buffalo signs him, they?ll finally have someone willing to defend Ryan Miller.

Calgary Flames: There was a rumor floating around that the Flames had approached John Davidson about a hockey ops job, or John Davidson approached the Flames, or something like that. Not true, says everyone involved.

Carolina Hurricanes: It?s time to consider whether the Hurricanes are actually good at drafting. Jeff Skinner and Justin Faulk? Both are great, and both were drafted in 2010. But from 2005 through 2008, the team drafted just three players who have played 100 or more games at the NHL level.

Chicago Blackhawks: The Blackhawks re-signed Jamal Mayers the other day, which creates more questions about the future makeup of the team than answers. They now have 15 guys looking to fill 12 forward spots.

Colorado Avalanche: The Avs are having talks with a number of free agents, both restricted and un-. However, not included among those in contract negotiations is Ryan O?Reilly, perhaps the best of the bunch.

Columbus Blue Jackets: Vinny Prospal is coaching a kids? summer hockey team for two weeks and being really demanding about it. ?The one guy I get all of this from would be John Tortorella,? Prospal said. No word on the number of F-bombs dropped in post-game pressers.

Dallas Stars: The Stars aren?t picking in a lottery spot but might they try to move into one to scoop up Alex Galchenyuk? The linked blog thinks a package like Richard Bachman and Brenden Morrow gets it done, but keep dreamin? on that one.

Detroit Red Wings presented by Amway: Wings executives will soon meet to discuss free agency options to improve the team and one suspects that big white board in the middle of the room will just have a picture of Ryan Suter on it, circled 400 times.

Edmonton Oilers: The Oilers plan to go ?outside the box? for their next coach, which means we?re just weeks away from the formal announcement: How do you like the sound of ?player-coach Ryan Nugent-Hopkins??

Florida Panthers: Jonathan Huberdeau?s season is finally over, his Saint John Sea Dogs having been eliminated from the Memorial Cup. Next season, he?ll almost certainly be on the Panthers roster full-time. Remember, he had eight points in the preseason last year.

Los Angeles Kings: Simon Gagne cleared for game action just in time for the Stanley Cup Finals. What a coincidence.

Minnesota Wild: Where does the Wild?s rebuild go from here? After they signed Mikael Granlund on Thursday, they now have six kids around 20 years old who will be turning pro this season. ?I?ve been doing this 19 years, I?ve never had six 20-year-old forwards turning pro in the same year,? Chuck Fletcher said. They might also make a run at either Zach Parise or Ryan Suter.

Montreal Canadiens: A pair of assistants in Tampa are probably going to get a crack at winning the Habs? vacant head coaching job. And even if they don?t make the cut, they might get assistant jobs in Montreal anyway. Both are, it will shock you to learn, from Quebec.

GettyNashville Predators: Here?s why Shea Weber should win the Norris. Hint: It?s because he was better than Chara, based on stuff like math.

New Jersey Devils: Lou Lamoriello is a great architect of a great team. But in typical New York media fashion, Mike Lupica has to wonder aloud, ?[Y]ou wonder what happens over the last two decades, certainly the time since the Rangers won their last Stanley Cup, if Lamoriello had been working at the Garden instead of Jersey.? What does that even mean?

New York Islanders: Isles prospect Scott Mayfield had a pretty good rookie season at Denver, where he put up 12 points from the blue line. Perhaps more importantly, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound 20-year-old led the team in penalty minutes, so he seems pretty mean, which will serve him well at the pro level.

New York Rangers: John Tortorella acknowledges that it will be tough for the Rangers to keep this group together. Notable free agents on the Ranger roster include Ruslan Fedotenko, Brandon Prust, Mike Del Zotto, and that?s it. Not as hard as you might expect then?

Ottawa Senators: The Senators? newly-signed prospect Darren Kramer has an idea beyond to keep him paid even if his hockey career never pans out: A double-twist-off peanut butter jar for people who have big hands. No one ever went broke pandering to the freakishly large hand market.

Philadelphia Flyers: The Flyers won the Richards and Carter trades but still wasted a bunch of money on a product-of-his-system-just-ask-Mike-Smith goalie and came no closer to a Stanley Cup, so did they really win? Jury?s still out.

Phoenix Coyotes: Speaking of Mike Smith, he wants goaltending coach Sean Burke to come back. So much so that he might let it influence his decisions when his contract is up next summer. Free advice to Mike Smith: Stay in Phoenix until people think your phenomenal performances were the result of your talent, not your coach. Then you cash in like Bryz did.

Pittsburgh Penguins: The Pens recently signed 2012 sixth-round draft pick and Barrie Colts defenseman Reid McNeil, who?s big but not necessarily likely to put up similarly-sized numbers.

San Jose Sharks: Important Patrick Marleau update ? He looks like a young Alex Trebek.

St. Louis Blues: The CEO of the St. Louis Blues is now the former CEO of the St. Louis Blues, as he resigned from his post on Friday as the team continues its front office makeover under new ownership.

Tampa Bay Lightning: Steve Yzerman is leaning toward finding a good younger goalie and not necessarily a good old one. Of course, compared with Dwayne Roloson, Roberto Luongo is one of the youngest people in the world.

Toronto Maple Leafs: Despite moving to the hated Habs, outgoing assistant GM Rick Dudley says the Leafs are ?so close? to being good. And yet so far.

Vancouver Canucks: Hey that thing Alain Vigneault said about how Roberto Luongo wanted to get traded? Tooooootally didn?t mean it like that. C?mon now. Who would think such a thing?

Washington Capitals: Tomas Vokoun is probably done in Washington but wants to stay in the NHL. Gotta think he gets another one-year, cut-rate deal after that season, right?

Winnipeg Jets: The whole ?free Jets ticket? controversy continues to rage, even as Manitoba?s energy minister doesn?t feel bad ??or indeed, that there?s a conflict of interest ??about getting his seats gratis from a gas company.

Hair loss doesn?t have to happen?it?s as simple as that. If you want to learn how to prevent hair loss, become proactive. The best way to stop hair fall is to take good care of your hair. There are several ways on how you can nurture your hair to keep your beautiful and healthy locks.

The following are some special pointers?

Keep your hair clean.

The most essential thing that you should remember is to always keep your hair clean. Wash your hair regularly especially after you put on hair products like gels, hair sprays, creams or lotions. You also need to use mild and natural shampoo and conditioner that are especially made for your hair type.

Protect your hair from possible damage caused by the sun.

Dust and direct sunlight damages the hair. So, as much as possible, cover your head when you are planning to go outdoors. You can use hats or scarves to protect your hair from too much exposure to the sun.

Let your hair dry naturally.

Hair is at its weakest when it is wet. Never rub a towel on wet hair and do not comb it vigorously. However, you can wrap the towel on your hair after bathing but do not make it too tight. After a few minutes, take the towel off and let your hair dry in natural air. Use wide-toothed comb when combing wet hair. Also avoid the use of hair blower and hair brush because it makes the hair dry.

Massage your scalp.

Another way to stop hair fall and stimulate the strands to grow is to give yourself a good scalp massage. This will allow you to maintain a healthy blood flow to your scalp, which will stimulate growth. You can make the massage even more effective by using essentials oils for hair regrowth.

Avoid hairstyles that put too much stress or tension on your hair.

Braids and extreme hairstyles may break the hair and eventually lead to hair loss. The same is true with tight pony tails. You should also avoid too much using of hair pins and elastic band on your hair.

Eating a balanced diet to prevent hair loss.

Vitamin deficiency and iron deficiency causes hair loss. Eating a balanced diet will help you stop hair fall from recurrence. The foods that are rich with vitamins and minerals for hair loss include green vegetables, fruits and dairy products. Eating two kinds of nuts everyday will also help strengthen the hair.

If you want to stop hair fall, you must be guided by the above mentioned tips. By following these tips, you will not be worried about hair fall anymore. Remember, an ounce of prevention is a better than a pound of cure.

Exercise Myths Recalled - Nutriwell Coaching

It?s amazing how quickly time flies! I feel as though it was yesterday when I was writing about May being Exercise Is Medicine month and here we are at the end. How did you do with my goal for you of moving more every day? Some of you met my goal, some of you did not. Don?t despair, it was my goal after all! What are you going to do next month? How does my goal for you align with your goals for yourself? How are you going to fit activity into your everyday life? Think outside the box and stay focused on the quality of life you dream of.

As I write this before the long Memorial Day Weekend and you are reading it during or after the weekend, I am reflecting on what we are celebrating. Before I jump into exercise myths, I want to take a moment to thank the men and women serving or retired from the United States Military. I want to take a moment to appreciate and respect the supreme sacrifice that many men and women have made over the years in the pursuit of democracy and protecting the freedoms that we take for granted daily. Because of people like our military, I have the privilege of watching my dreams come true. Because of the sacrifices you and your families make, my family lives each day safely, free to express their opinions, and with appreciation for each day.? We have the fortune to have freedom of choice! Choice is a key word! ?

Myth 1. ?No pain, no gain?, ?I must have burned a lot of calories because I was dripping sweat?, ?you can only burn fat at a low intensity?, the list goes on!? Intensity of exercise is important, however, it is only one factor in the equation to fitness, weight management, and overall? measure of exercise benefit. I fact, when you are in pain, you are counterproductive and most likely causing injury. Keep in mind pain and discomfort are two very different feelings. You strive to feel as though you challenged your body, however normal every day movement should not be a challenge! It is most important to meet your self where you?re at with fitness, begin slow/appropriate and build daily and weekly. This will allow your body to adapt with minimal risk of injury. Higher intensity exercise does burn more calories within a given time, however if you are not conditioned, it?s too challenging to maintain without causing another myth! On the flip side, you don?t necessarily have to start at a snails pace if you are more fit than that! Lastly, intensity and sweat do not necessarily equate. Sweat is our bodies way to cool itself and many factors influence sweat. In fact, many people who are highly conditioned athletes have a lower sweat rate because their bodies are so fit!

Myth 2. I can?t exercise as much as I should, so I can?t lose weight. Although exercise is the key to achieve ALL of the reasons that you desire weight loss, it is not the key to moving the dial down. Nutrition plays a stronger role during the weight loss phase than exercise. However, importantly, exercise/physical activity is the key to keeping weight off and maintaining your goals. If you lose 10 pounds or 100 pounds and are de-conditioned, then you are still going to be out of breath at the top of the stairs! There is an abundance of research on the theory of ?fit and fat? showing the benefits of being fit are much more impactful than the benefits of being thin and unfit. Steven Blair from the University of South Carolina and formerly the Cooper Institute is well published and well accepted on this all important research.?

Myth 3. If I can?t get my full workout in and workout often, there isn?t any point. Exercise is Medicine, the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans and quality fitness professionals will tell you that anything is better than nothing. There is much research showing the benefits of movement during the day as being beneficial to overall health. I?ve even had clients who were so challenged with time on particular days that they went to the gym and changed clothes even though there wasn?t enough time in the day to do anything beyond walking in! This keeps the routine strong.?

Myth 4. All certified personal trainers have the same knowledge and if they look fit they must be knowledgeable. As with most professions, certified personal trainers (cPT) come with a variety of expertise and knowledge. Some have extensive knowledge of exercise physiology, kinesiology, and body mechanics for healthy people and people with diseases. Some have taken a weekend course, at best, to expand their knowledge from working out through some period of their life! When you are paying for services, you want to get true value. Look for credentials- the National Commission on Credentialing Agencies was created to help ?ensure the health, welfare, and safety of the public through the accreditation of a variety of certification programs/organizations that assess professional competence.? The process is highly regarded by professionals in various industries. To see if your fitness professional has an accredited certification, check out their website. The certified Personal Trainers with high credentials don?t necessarily charge much more for services.?

Myth 5. Yoga Is a Completely Safe and Gentle Exercise. Yoga is an excellent activity for building strength, endurance, flexibility and overall fitness. Some styles are more meditative and gentle, however some styles are rigorous and demanding both physically and mentally. As with any type of exercise, qualified, careful instruction is necessary for a safe, effective workout.?

Myth 6. When You Exercise Long and Hard Enough, You Will Always Get the Results You Want. In some respects this is true, when you look! People begin to notice decreased stress, better energy, improved sleep, clothes loser, every health parameter improved and much more. But, if they don?t put exercise and these benefits together and only focus on the scale, then they create a wedge for long term success. Further, the reality is that genetics plays an important role in how people respond to exercise. Numerous studies over the years have shown a wide variation in how different exercisers respond to the same training program.?

Myth 7. To Lose Weight, Stay Away From Weights & Resistance Training Because You Gain Muscle and Bulk Up. Fitness and weight management experts agree that cardiovascular exercise and strength training are both valuable for achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. Strength training helps maintain muscle mass and decrease body fat percentage. Another resistant training benefit is toning so that when an individual does lose fat, the muscles under aren?t flabby. To bulk up or add much mass, a person needs to follow a rigorous routine above what the vast majority of weight losers are willing to do. Genetics, gender, hormones, nutrition and a host of other factors influence a persons ability to gain excess muscle mass.?

Myth 8. The Health and Fitness Benefits of Mind-Body Exercise Such as Tai Chi and Yoga Are Questionable. Research showing the benefits of these exercises continues to grow. Yoga has been shown to help treat low-back pain and fibromyalgia. Improved flexibility, balance, coordination, posture, strength, weight management, diabetes control without medication and stress management are just some of the evidence based benefits of mind-body exercise. And, when you become skilled at listening to your body, you tend to fuel it with premium grade fuel!?

Myth 9. If you want to build muscle and lose weight, consume lots of protein and avoid carbs.? Although adequate protein is important, carbs in the form of whole grains (barley, wheat, rye, oats, corn, quinoa, ..), fruits, vegetables and low fat dairy (including soy) fuel your exercise and provide protein to meet your needs beyond your ?protein foods?. The ideal post workout replenisher (yes replenish so you have energy to work out tomorrow) is 8 ounces of low fat chocolate milk, or 6 oz. yogurt and fruit, or nut butter and fruit or whole grain crackers, or ? You get the ideal, small amount of protein, more healthy carbs. Think about it. We?ve been on an anti-carb trend for over 15 years, how are Americans faring with this approach? Are they craving carbs more by cutting them out and then diving into sweets, deserts, chips, sugary drinks, etc to feed the crave while avoiding healthy carbs because of the ?evil? sugar?

Myth 10. Going to a Gym Is the Best Way to Get Fit. This is true if you enjoy the gym and can afford the gym you enjoy! Research has shown that some people find it easier to follow a fitness program either at home, or outside- such as walking or jogging. In spite of all the hype on trendy exercise classes, programs and facilities, the ?best? fitness program for you is the one you will participate in consistently.

Apple applies for optical stylus patent, Hell reports coldest day on record

Apple has famously shunned the humble stylus, so it's fair to say we're more than a little curious about why it's filed a patent application for one. The "optical stylus" mentioned seems simple enough. The claims outline the brains to interpret your doodlings, as well pressure and orientation. Beyond that, well, it's more or less just a stylus. While we suspected the team at Cupertino were fans of Draw Something, we didn't think they'd take it this seriously!

Home Improvement: Kitchen Improvements - Ball Terence's blog

You give conceive that the age of kitchen doors are made from MDF and are vinyl enwrapped. This appendage is mainly because it is very cost economical than purchase coagulated wood doors. I am exploit to vindicate how these Medium-Density Wallboard (MDF) doors are made.

Your new equal kitchen doors begin gift move off as one tack of 2600mm by 2000mm MDF, the thickness existence 18mm. The business of your doors faculty mortal thousands of these MDF sheets which are ripe laminated with a club cereal outcome or black melamine impressible - oft victimized in offices and schools. The alkali impressible tiled sides give be the backs of the doors.

Firstly the MDF sheets are set melamine tiled surface consume low a machine limited tool ripe to be routed. The desired filler is then signaling in the machine. Any size of entryway can be prefab, not honorable regulation sized doors, for information the superlative of your entry is 710mm and the breadth is 498mm, this is entered into the tool and the doors will be prefabricated to that perfect size.

The following outgrowth is choosing the entryway decoration.

The desirable arrangement is entered into the advise of the art machine. Kitchen entry designs can very, the doors can be routed with a decorative cathedral tool entrance, a Shaker name with a hollow panel, a unmixed slab arrangement with a bevelled bound, amongst galore others. Once the program has been elite the computer then controls the cutters and shapes the route into the entrance. Several doors designs are clapping ended, these doors tend to be a short statesman overpriced due to the histrion pass that goes into making them.

Whilst the machinery is lancinate the MDF a bouffant assets of rubble is created. Once the doors bed been routed the detritus in then dyspnoeic away and cement is sprayed onto the doors. The glue is leftish until is it most dry but tacky then the selected group is warmed up. Formerly the vinyl is heated the doors are settled in a machine that gift count the vinyl over the MDF, the figurehead and all edges are enwrapped. Erstwhile this growth is pure they are leftmost to unemotional. Formerly cooled downcast the door is removed from the organisation and is upturned over so the melamine is surface

Leica M9-P

The Leica M9-P ($7,995 list, body only) is a beautiful camera with an absurdly high sticker price. Its lack of bells and whistles will confound casual snapshooters, but its an appealing choice for seasoned photographers who fell in love with rangefinder film cameras and want a digital equivalent. If you're looking for a camera that supports autofocus, video recording, and offers a library of zoom lenses, the M9-P is not for you. But if a compact camera with a large image sensor, bright optical viewfinder, and minimalist controls is what you're after, the M9-P may be what you're looking for?the only question is whether you can afford it. This high-end interchangeable lens camera doesn't offer the mass market appeal or flexibility of our Editors' Choice Olympus OM-D E-M5 ($1,299.99, 5 stars), but if you're set on a new digital rangefinder, your choices are all Leica.

Why Choose a Rangefinder Camera?
If you've never shot with a rangefinder, you must first understand that there are some fundamental differences that set the camera apart from an SLR. When you look through the optical viewfinder of an SLR, you're seeing exactly what the lens sees. This has its advantages?you get an accurate view of your frame and can preview the depth of field of your shot. With a rangefinder, two sets of framelines, which change along with the lens, are displayed in the viewfinder to give you an idea of what your frame will capture, but you'll want to keep shots a bit loose with the intention of cropping, as they aren't entirely accurate. You'll also see a bright rectangle in the middle of the finder with a double image?that's how you focus. As you adjust the focus on the lens barrel, the double image turns into one. Once you've mastered this technique, it's quicker than manually focusing an SLR, but obviously lags behind the best D-SLRs in terms of speed and precision.

So, why put up with the convoluted focusing and framing system? For one, the finder is always bright?regardless of whether you're using an f/0.95 lens or an f/4 lens. Depending on how wide your lens is, you'll also be able to see outside of the frame. This is ideal for shooting on the street where pedestrians may wander into a shot unexpectedly, or for tracking action. There's also no finder blackout when you take a photo?so you'll see the exact moment that you're capturing as you hear the shutter click. There aren't a lot of other digital cameras on the market that offer this?the Fujifilm X-Pro1 ($1,699 list) comes closest. It doesn't offer the manual focus rangefinder patch so you'll have to trust its autofocus when shooting with its hybrid digital/optical viewfinder in optical mode.

The other advantage is lens design. Because there's no mirror or focus motors, rangefinder lenses are amazingly small?especially when you consider that they provide full frame coverage. The rear element can be very close to the film plane, which makes it possible to design wide-angle lenses that are incredibly compact. The Leica Elmarit 28mm f/2.8 ASPH lens has a 2-inch diamater and is just 1.2 inches long, much smaller than any 28mm SLR lens of similar speed.

The short span between the lens mount and film plane also reduces the distance that light has to travel before it is captured, resulting in images that are much sharper around the edges and in the corners than those from SLRs. The M9-P has a series of microprisms built into the sensor that further help to increase corner performance, as digital sensors require light to hit the photosites straight on in order to be properly recorded?this isn't required when shooting film. The sensor also omits an antialias filter, which makes sharper photos possible. Along with the X-Pro1 and Nikon D800E ($3,299.95), it's one of the few cameras on the market that takes this approach to sensor design.

If you discover that shooting with a rangefinder is for you, your choice of camera bodies is limited?they're niche products at this point. Leica currently produces two other models. The M9 ($6,995 list) is essentially the same camera with slightly different styling and without a protective sapphire glass cover over its LCD. The recently announced M-Monochrom ($7,995 list) is basically an M9 that shoots only black-and-white photos. You can also look for an M8, M8.2, or Epson R-D1 (2 stars) on the used market. The 10-megapixel M8 and M8.2 will handle much like the M9, although the image sensor in those cameras is smaller than full frame, so your lenses will suffer from a 1.33x crop factor, and you'll need to use special UV/IR filters on your lenses to prevent unwanted color shifts when shooting certain fabrics and vegetation. The RD-1 is a 6-megapixel camera and uses a 1.5x APS-C crop sensor, the same size that is found in consumer D-SLRs, and is unique in that it is a digital camera that requires you to manually advance the shutter after taking a photo, just as you would with a film camera.

(AP) ? Just a month before its June release in the U.S., Paramount Pictures delayed the debut of "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" by nine months after another movie based on a Hasbro plaything was trounced at the box office by "The Avengers."

Paramount on Wednesday pushed back the release of the "G.I. Joe" sequel from June 29 until March 29, 2013, in order to adapt the movie for 3-D screens, according to Paramount's executive vice president of publicity, Katie Martin Kelley.

The move comes after "Battleship," based on the Hasbro board game, debuted at No. 2 at the North American box office with $25.5 million in ticket sales, behind the still-strong "Avengers," which brought in a whopping $55.6 million in its third weekend of release.

Action films often get most of their revenue from 3-D showings, which cost a few dollars more per ticket and can boost a movie's prospects to make its money back.

March has proven to be a big month for movies because there's a lack of big-budget competition, according to Paul Dergarabedian, president of the box office division of Hollywood.com. This March, "The Hunger Games" premiered on March 12 and went on to make $629 million worldwide.

"G.I. Joe: Retaliation" also suffered from a lack of strong buzz online, according to Ben Carlson, president of market tracking firm Fizziology.
