Dutch Bros. Continues to Give Back - AZ Venture Capital

?Celebrate Dutch Luv Day on February 14; Bring in Three Cans for a Free Coffee

? Feb. 3, 2012 ? Dutch Bros. Arizona, Arizona?s premier coffee drive thru, wants you to be its Valentine! To show its love for the community, Dutch Bros. will be hosting ?Dutch Luv Day? on Feb. 14. This annual event urges customers to donate canned food, which will ultimately be given to a local food bank. To encourage donation, Dutch Bros. is offering a free 16-ounce specialty coffee, smoothie or Dutch Freeze to every customer that brings in three non-perishable food items.

This event also happens to coincide with Dutch Bros.? 20th anniversary! To celebrate its success, Dutch Bros. is going retro by offering its authentic ?92 Dutch Mocha and serving it in the original cup used by Dutch Bros. in the ?90s. Also, throughout the month of February, Dutch Bros. will surprise its loyal customers with random giveaways on Facebook and Twitter to say thanks.

Dutch Bros. is no stranger to giving back to the customers who have helped the company stay in business for so long. In December, to encourage fans to give the gift of coffee for the winter holiday season, each person who purchased a gift card was entered in a raffle to win 60 free drinks. In the same month, Dutch Bros. raised a total of $1,859 when it hosted its annual ?Buck for Kids? day, where proceeds from each sale went to support the local Tempe Boys & Girls Club. Dutch Bros. also donates to breast cancer research in October and muscular dystrophy in April, in addition to donating food for Dutch Luv Day.

The Dutch Bros. idea was born in 1992 when two brothers began selling coffee out of a push cart in downtown Grants Pass, Ore. Locals loved the coffee so much that it wasn?t long before the brothers were able to set up several permanent stands around the city. As Dutch Bros.? business continued to grow, they were able to expand to five surrounding states, finally making it into Arizona in 2007. Since its venture into the desert, Dutch Bros. Arizona has opened up eight different locations and plans to continue expanding. The company, as a whole, also has seen huge growth in recent years. In 2011, Dutch Bros. served up more than 28 million cups of coffee and donated in excess of $1 million to nonprofit organizations.

Dutch Bros. Arizona invites all of its fans to show their love by participating in Dutch Luv Day, donating to a great cause, and celebrating two decades of smiling baristas, and most of all, great coffee. No RSVP necessary!
