From St. Louis - Lung cancer patients who smoked have significantly more genetic damage than those who never smoked, according to a report published in Cell. Researchers conducted genetic analyses on 17 lung cancer patients, 12 with a smoking history and 5 without. Results showed that the smokers had 10x the amount of genetic mutations in their tumours than non-smokers |
