Mr Cameron added: ?I did once say something about people who use Twitter, particularly politicians, and I think in this case I was absolutely spot on. ?I think what Mr Burley said was completely wrong. It was an idiotic thing to say.? On the opening ceremony itself, Mr Cameron said: ?I thought that it was a brilliant effort to bring together our past, our future and the vibrancy of our country.? Cannock Chase MP Mr Burley, who was sacked last year as a ministerial aide after attending a Nazi-themed stag party, has since claimed his comments had been misinterpreted. ?I was talking about the way it was handled in the show, not multiculturalism itself,? he later said.
